In 2024, God blessed us with a wonderful opportunity to conduct sewing courses for six girls from the “Spring of Love” school. It was an intense two weeks of hands-on training. Our students were Chingrilla, Malloti, Saraswati, Samchi, Sonali, and Sonoti. The girls were very diligent and well-mannered, making the learning process enjoyable for us as well.
During this time, they learned how to cut fabric and sew their first practice skirts. Each student chose the style she liked the most. As a result, the girls had the chance to observe the cutting and sewing of three different types of skirts.
We were truly amazed at how quickly some of the girls grasped the lessons, and it was heartwarming to witness their mutual support and respect for one another! The girls were very shy but cheerful, so at times, we even managed to sew while singing some familiar psalms together.
At first, we were worried about whether we could complete our task in such a short period. But thanks to God, in a friendly atmosphere and by helping one another, we were able to finish everything as planned. Even now, we still remember the girls twirling in their skirts, their eyes shining with joy!
This was an incredible experience for us as well. They say that when you share joy, it increases, and when you share love, it multiplies. It seems the same applies to blessings—we have seen it firsthand!
We hope that the girls will cherish the lessons and skills they acquired during this short training because, regardless of where life takes them, these skills will undoubtedly be useful to them.
Finally, we want our experience to inspire many. Whenever you feel uncertain about the service you can offer, remember these beautiful words of the apostle Paul:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
